Rule of thumb: count your PoE cameras against port count, not just channel count — the 16-channel 16B-LP8-IQ still ships with only 8 built-in PoE ports, so channels 9–16 need cameras powered another way (a separate PoE switch or local 12V power). The Uniview NVR301-B-LP-IQ Series is a 1-HDD PoE network video recorder offered in three sizes: NVR301-04B-LP4-IQ (4-ch, 4 built-in PoE ports), NVR301-08B-LP8-IQ (8-ch, 8 built-in PoE ports) and NVR301-16B-LP8-IQ (16-ch, 8 built-in PoE ports). All three record cameras up to 12MP with Ultra 265 / H.265 / H.264 compression, output simultaneously over 4K HDMI and VGA, and include built-in Smart Function covering face detection, face comparison, vehicle detection (LPR) and traffic monitoring. One SATA bay takes a hard disk up to 24 TB; the local interface is available in 38 languages including Spanish (Latin America), Portuguese (Brazil) and French.

  • A second hard disk or RAID — this series has a single SATA bay
  • Gigabit uplink — the network port is 10/100M (fine even at 80 Mbps total bandwidth)
  • Alarm in/out wiring for sirens or sensors — RS485/RS232 and alarm terminals are not present on this model
  • Full Smart-feature channel counts with third-party cameras — deepest face/vehicle AI (up to 8-ch) requires Uniview cameras; normal/third-party cameras are limited to 1-ch face detection, 2-ch SIP or 4-ch UMD

Every model in this series has built-in PoE — 4 ports on the 04-channel model, 8 ports on the 08/16-channel models — each port delivering up to 30 W, with a total budget of 50 W (04) or 75 W (08/16), so IP cameras get power and video over a single Ethernet cable with no separate injector.
