The 16LS3-P8 records 16 channels, but its built-in PoE only covers the first 8; the other 8 cameras need independent power or an extra PoE switch. The Uniview NVR301-LS3-P Series is a 1-HDD PoE network video recorder offered in three sizes: NVR301-04LS3-P4 (4-ch, 4 built-in PoE ports), NVR301-08LS3-P8 (8-ch, 8 built-in PoE ports) and NVR301-16LS3-P8 (16-ch, 8 built-in PoE ports). All three record cameras up to 8MP with Ultra 265 / H.265 / H.264 compression and output simultaneously over 4K HDMI and VGA. One SATA bay takes a hard disk up to 10 TB; the local interface is available in 21 languages including Spanish (Latin America), Portuguese (Brazil) and French.

  • Full PoE power for all 16 channels — the 16LS3-P8's 16 video channels share only 8 built-in PoE ports (max 75 W total); cameras on channels 9–16 need independent power or an extra PoE switch
  • A second hard disk or RAID — this series has a single SATA bay
  • Gigabit uplink — the network port is 10/100M (fine for 16 cameras at 64 Mbps total)
  • Alarm in/out wiring for sirens or sensors — the external interface list has no dedicated alarm terminals
  • Audio input — it has an RCA audio output only (camera-side mics still record)
