Rule of thumb: count your cameras across the whole site, then leave room to grow — 16 channels covers most single buildings; step up to the 32B-P16 if you're combining several buildings or expect to add cameras later. Both models share the same 16 built-in PoE ports — on the 32-channel model, the first 16 cameras can plug straight in, the rest connect over the regular network with their own power source. Highlighted rows in the spec table below show every other difference between the two.
