Overview

The NSW3000-24T1GT1GC-POE-IN is a cloud managed 19-inch rack-mount Fast Ethernet PoE switch with 24 × 10/100Mbps RJ45 PoE ports (priority ports 1-8) plus a 1000Mbps RJ45 uplink (G2) and a 1000Mbps Combo RJ45/SFP uplink (G1/SFP1), self-developed by Uniview for lightweight Layer-2 management of larger camera networks in stores, supermarkets, enterprises and campuses. It delivers a 370 W total PoE budget (30 W max per port, IEEE 802.3af/at, Mode A/Mode B pinout) over an 8.8 Gbps switching fabric with 6.55 Mpps forwarding, a 4M bit packet buffer and a 16K MAC address table, cooled by a single internal fan and powered from a built-in AC 100–240V supply (385 W max). Through Uniview's cloud software and app, the switch auto-discovers connected video devices, builds a network topology, segments traffic across up to 32 VLANs (ID 1–4095), reports port abnormal alarms in real time, and lets an administrator check PoE status and remotely restart a hung camera's power without a site visit. The all-metal 440×244.8×44 mm 1U chassis (2.9 kg) runs from 0°C to 45°C and is NDAA compliant.

Is This the Right Fit?

Six real deployment scenarios matched to this model's actual datasheet specifications.

Cloud Dashboard Scales Across Bigger, 24-Port DeploymentsConsolidate a full 24-camera floor, warehouse aisle or campus building segment onto one switch — the same cloud dashboard used for smaller sites still auto-discovers every device and builds one network topology, so fewer switches means fewer logins, not more.
32 VLANs Segment a Denser Port Count Without Adding SwitchesWith 24 downlink ports on a single 1U unit, VLAN segmentation (Access/Trunk, up to 32 VLANs) keeps camera traffic separated from POS, Wi-Fi and office data even as more devices, and more traffic types, land on the same box.
Remote PoE Restart Covers More Cameras Per Truck Roll AvoidedA 24-port switch puts more cameras behind one uplink; when one freezes, an admin power-cycles just that port from the Web or app instead of dispatching someone to a larger site with more equipment to check.
Loop Detection Protects Busier Wiring ClosetsBigger sites mean more patch panels and more chances for an accidental loop; built-in loop detection flags a miswired cable on any of the 24 ports immediately, before it broadcast-storms the switch serving the whole floor.
Real-Time Port Alarms Keep Pace With a Larger Camera CountMonitoring 24 ports by hand doesn't scale — port abnormal alarms report to the software the instant a link drops, so IT catches the one dead camera among two dozen without a manual walk-through.
Priority Ports 1-8 Matter More When 24 Ports Compete for a 370 W Budget24 ports at up to 30 W each can demand far more than the 370 W budget allows; ports 1-8 hold PoE power and forwarding priority, so entrance, cash-register or other critical cameras stay online first when the switch has to ration power across more devices.
Not a good fit if:
  • 24 ports × 30 W max = 720 W of potential demand against a 370 W total PoE budget — this switch cannot power all 24 ports at full IEEE 802.3at (30 W) simultaneously; size the PoE load per port before deploying high-draw PTZ or heater-equipped cameras across every port.
  • Downlink ports are Fast Ethernet only (10/100Mbps, no Gigabit) — only the G2 RJ45 and G1/SFP1 Combo uplinks run at 1000Mbps; for 4K or multi-stream cameras that need per-port Gigabit throughput across a 24-camera deployment, choose a Gigabit PoE switch.
  • Cloud-managed Layer-2 switch with loop detection only — no ERPS ring or STP/RSTP spanning-tree protocol and no dynamic Layer-3 routing; for self-healing ring topologies across a larger site, choose an industrial managed switch such as the ISW series.
