Custom & OEM →4-Port Managed Industrial Switch FAQ — ZJIES3000D-4GT2GB
What ports does the ZJIES3000D-4GT2GB provide?
It has 4 x 10/100/1000Base-T copper ports for local devices and 2 x 1000Base-X SFP fiber slots for uplinks or ring links — six gigabit ports total. Store-and-forward switching, an 8K MAC table and a 4 Mbit packet buffer keep small field nodes running at full gigabit speed.
Where does a 4-port managed switch fit in a project?
It is sized for small field cabinets that only host a few devices — a camera pole, a gate controller or a remote sensor box — but still need to join a managed self-healing gigabit fiber ring. The two SFP ports connect it into the ring; the four copper ports serve the local gear.
Which ring redundancy protocols does it support?
It runs STP, RSTP and MSTP spanning tree plus ERPS Ethernet ring protection to ITU-T G.8032. With the two SFP fiber ports it joins redundant ring topologies, so a single fiber cut is bypassed and the devices behind the switch stay reachable.
Does the small model still get full management features?
Yes — the same management stack as the larger units: QoS (802.1p), 802.1Q VLAN, IGMP Snooping/GMRP, LACP trunking, 802.1X authentication and LLDP, reachable by SNMP v1/v2/v3, web, Telnet or RS-232 console at 9600 bps, protected by login password.
How is it powered and what conditions does it tolerate?
Power comes from DC 24V (12-36V) or DC 48V (36-56V) dual redundant 4-pin terminals, or single AC 220V (100-240V), drawing at most 15 W with a 2-pin relay alarm output. The wide-temperature version covers -40 to +75 C with EN61000-4 level 3 EMC immunity.
