NVR bays take surveillance-class hard drives; loop-recording cameras take high-endurance TF cards. Neither job forgives consumer-grade substitutes.
The TF range is tiered by real endurance: MT Red at 3000 P/E cycles with -25°C to 85°C for cameras that never stop (solar 4G, ANR backup, dashcams), mid tiers for event recording, and value tiers for general duty — each card page states its cycles, speeds and temperatures so the choice is arithmetic, not faith. Surveillance HDDs cover the NVR side, firmware-tuned for continuous multi-stream video.
Why buy storage with the cameras? Counterfeit high-capacity cards are rampant in many markets, and a fake card in a solar camera is invisible until the day footage is needed. Factory-sourced media arrives in the same carton, matched to the camera's stated maximum and tested as a pair.

At H.265 and 4Mbps per camera: roughly 23 days of 8 cameras, or 11–12 days of 16. Send your camera list and required days — the exact disk plan comes back with the quote.
P/E cycles — how many times the card can be fully written and erased. A camera overwriting weekly uses ~52 cycles a year: a 3000-cycle card outlives the camera, a ~500-cycle consumer card enters wear-out within a couple of years and fails silently while the live view still works.
