The NSW2020-16T2GC-LPOE-IN is an unmanaged 19-inch rack-mount Fast Ethernet PoE switch with 16 × 100Mbps RJ45 PoE ports (priority ports 1-8) plus two 1000Mbps Combo RJ45/SFP uplinks (G1/SFP1, G2/SFP2), built as the low-power variant in this switch family, for machine-room and wiring-closet camera aggregation where a smaller PoE budget is enough. It delivers a 150 W total PoE budget (30 W max per port, IEEE 802.3af/at, both Mode A (1,2/3,6) and Mode B (4,5/7,8) pinout support) over the same 7.2 Gbps switching fabric with 5.36 Mpps forwarding, a 4M bit packet buffer and a 16K MAC address table, cooled passively with zero internal fans and powered from a built-in AC 100–240V supply (160 W max). Is 150 W enough for 16 cameras?
For fixed cameras, usually yes: 150 W across 16 ports averages about 9 W per camera, and typical fixed IP cameras draw 4–12 W. A single port can still deliver up to 30 W (IEEE 802.3af/at) for one heavier device. If you plan many PTZ or IR-heavy cameras, size the load before choosing this variant.
How is it different from the 250 W version of this family?
It is the low-power variant: a 150 W PoE budget instead of 250 W, and it is completely fanless — zero internal fans, so no fan noise and no fan to fail — with 160 W maximum consumption. Ports, 7.2 Gbps fabric, 5.36 Mpps forwarding, 4M bit buffer and 16K MAC table stay the same.
What uplinks do the two combo ports give me?
Two independent 1000 Mbps Combo uplinks (G1/SFP1 and G2/SFP2), each usable as RJ45 copper or as an SFP fiber slot. Typical layouts run fiber to the control room on one and copper to a local NVR on the other, or use both as separate gigabit paths to two recorders.
Which PoE pinouts does it support?
Both: Mode A on pins 1,2/3,6 and Mode B on pins 4,5/7,8, to IEEE 802.3af/at. That removes a common field headache — powered devices that only accept one pinout — so mixed camera brands and older PoE devices all negotiate power on the same 16 ports.
