The NSW2020-24T2GC-POE-IN is an unmanaged 19-inch rack-mount Fast Ethernet PoE switch with 24 × 100Mbps RJ45 PoE ports (priority ports 1-8) plus two independent 1000Mbps Combo RJ45/SFP uplinks (G1/SFP1, G2/SFP2), each able to switch on its own between copper and fiber for dual-link redundancy or aggregation. It delivers a 370 W total PoE budget (30 W max per port, IEEE 802.3af/at, Mode A and Mode B pinout) over an 8.8 Gbps switching fabric with 6.55 Mpps forwarding, a 4M bit packet buffer and a 16K MAC address table, cooled by a single internal fan and powered from a built-in AC 100–240V supply (390 W max). The all-metal 440×245×44 mm 1U chassis (2.90 kg) runs from 0°C to 45°C and switches between Default (Normal), VLAN (Secure, downlink-to-uplink only, with PD keepalive to reboot unresponsive PoE cameras) and EXTEND (250 m surveillance reach) via a front-panel slide switch — no management software required, NDAA compliant.

Not a good fit if:
- All 24 downlink ports are Fast Ethernet only (10/100Mbps, no Gigabit) — for 4K or multi-stream cameras that need gigabit throughput per port, choose a Gigabit PoE switch; only the two Combo uplinks (G1/SFP1, G2/SFP2) run at 1000Mbps.
- Unmanaged — no Web/CLI/SNMP access or per-port VLAN tagging; the front-panel switch offers only Default/VLAN/EXTEND positions, not granular configuration. Choose a managed switch if you need remote monitoring or individual port control across a large camera bank.

Can the NSW2020-24T2GC-POE-IN run 24 cameras at full load?
Yes — all 24 PoE ports at once. The 370 W budget averages about 15 W per port, while typical IP cameras draw 4–12 W, so a full 24-camera wall including several PTZ units is realistic. Each port supplies up to 30 W under IEEE 802.3af/at; give demanding devices priority ports 1–8.
What is the difference between the POE-IN and LPOE-IN versions?
Switching hardware is shared: 24 × 100 Mbps PoE ports, dual gigabit Combo uplinks, 8.8 Gbps fabric, 16K MAC table. This POE-IN version carries a 370 W PoE budget (390 W max draw, 440 × 245 × 44 mm, 2.90 kg); the LPOE-IN version offers 250 W for lighter loads. Choose by the total wattage your cameras need.
Can I uplink over fiber and copper at the same time?
Yes. G1/SFP1 and G2/SFP2 are two independent 1000 Mbps Combo uplinks; each selects copper RJ45 or SFP fiber on its own. Run one fiber link to the control room and keep a copper link as backup, or aggregate both. The 8.8 Gbps fabric with 6.55 Mpps forwarding handles full 24-port traffic.
What is the maximum cable distance for PoE cameras?
100 m in Default mode, per the Ethernet standard. Flip the front-panel slide switch to EXTEND and PoE power plus data reach 250 m for far gates or perimeter poles. Both Mode A (1/2+, 3/6−) and Mode B (4/5+, 7/8−) power pinouts are supported, easing compatibility with mixed camera brands.
Can it auto-restart a camera that stops responding?
Yes. In VLAN (Secure) mode the PD keepalive function watches each PoE port: if a camera sends no data for a set period, the port power-cycles it automatically. Combined with the built-in AC 100–240 V supply, single-fan cooling, 0–45 °C operating range and NDAA compliance, it suits unattended CCTV sites.
