Overview
The Uniarch SW-2226-LP is a 1U rack-mount L2 PoE switch with 26 ports — 24 × 100Mbps PoE ports (IEEE 802.3af/at, up to 30 W each, 250 W total) plus 1 × 1000Mbps GigaEthernet port and 1 × 1000Mbps Combo (RJ45/SFP) port for uplink. Three switchable working modes cover real sites: Normal, Secure (downlink ports isolated, talking only to uplinks) and Surveillance, which extends PoE transmission up to 250 m for far cameras. A fanless all-metal 19-inch housing and NDAA compliance make it a straightforward power-and-data aggregation switch for larger camera systems.

Talk to an engineer →24-Port PoE Switch FAQ — SW-2226-LP
How many cameras can the SW-2226-LP power at full load?
All 24 PoE ports can power cameras from the 250W total budget — over 10W average per port, while typical fixed IP cameras draw 4–12W. Any single port can deliver up to 30W under IEEE 802.3af/at for PTZ or IR-heavy models, and ports 1–8 hold PoE priority.
Can I uplink to the NVR room over fiber?
Yes. Besides the 1000 Mbps GigaEthernet RJ45 uplink, the 1000 Mbps Combo port accepts either RJ45 copper or an SFP fiber module, so the 24 camera ports can aggregate over fiber. Switching capacity is 8.8 Gbps with 6.55 Mpps forwarding and a 16K MAC table.
How far can it push PoE to distant cameras?
In Surveillance (EXTEND) mode, PoE transmission extends up to 250 m per cable run for far perimeter cameras. Normal mode lets all ports intercommunicate, while Secure mode makes downlink ports talk only to the uplinks, isolating cameras from each other. Modes are switchable on the unit.
What are the rack size and power requirements?
It is a 19-inch 1U all-metal unit, 440 x 189.8 x 44 mm and 2.15 kg, with a built-in AC 100–240V, 50/60 Hz power supply — no external adapter. Maximum system draw is 270W at full PoE load, and the fanless design runs silently from 0 to 45 degC.
What switching level and compliance does the SW-2226-LP offer?
It is an L2 switch supporting IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, 802.3az, 802.3x and 802.3af/at, with PoE delivered in Mode B (pins 4/5/7/8). It is NDAA compliant, carries a 4 Mbit packet buffer, and the PoE-MAX LED lights when load passes 85% of the 250W budget.
