Smart IR reaches 30 m (98.4 ft.), 120 dB true WDR keeps strong-backlight scenes readable, and a MicroSD slot up to 512 GB can back up recordings locally — all powered over a single PoE cable. It is offered with two fixed lenses: 2.8 mm (ADF28K, wider view) or 4.0 mm (ADF40K, longer reach).

My entrance is badly backlit at noon — will this camera cope?

Yes, that is the target use case. 120 dB true WDR balances a bright doorway or headlight glare against the dark interior in the same frame, backed by HLC, BLC and digital defog. Faces coming through a sunlit entrance stay readable instead of turning into silhouettes.

How does it perform in very low light?

The F1.6 lens and Easystar technology keep color images usable down to 0.003 Lux with AGC on — streetlight-level scenes stay in color. Below that, Smart IR takes over with invisible 850 nm light up to 30 m, auto-adjusting intensity by distance.

Does it tell people apart from other movement?

Yes. Cross-line and intrusion detection are based on human body detection, so alerts trigger on people rather than every branch, bird or headlight sweep. Standard motion detection and ultra motion detection remain available when you want to catch all movement.

What resolution and lens options are available?

The main stream reaches 4 MP at 2688×1520, 25 fps, with 1080p at 30 fps if preferred. Two lens builds: 2.8 mm with a 97.0° view detecting to 63 m, or 4.0 mm with 79.0° detecting to 90 m and identifying at 9 m — choose by scene width versus reach.

Is installation complicated for a small team?

No. PoE means one network cable per camera for power and video, and the 3-axis mount (pan 8–360°, tilt 0–68°, rotate 10–360°) aims the view from ceiling or wall. The IK10 and IP67 housing needs no extra enclosure outdoors, and the built-in mic removes separate audio wiring.
