Why Eight Ports Is the Job Size
Most camera jobs are four to six cameras with room to grow. Eight PoE ports plus two uplinks is the size that fits a shop, a clinic, a fuel station or one floor of an office — without paying for a rack switch.
This page holds every 8-port PoE model we carry. Our own-brand S802 and S8G families cover the commercial side: fast-ethernet or full-gigabit PoE ports, 2 × GE uplinks or 2 × GE plus SFP fibre, 96W and 120W versions of each. Uniview NSW2010 and NSW2020 are the rebranded-friendly alternative, and for cabinets outdoors the ISW2000 and ZJIES DIN-rail models give you the same eight ports at -40 to 75 °C with 12–48 VDC redundant input. Every specification is published on the model page — PoE budget, per-port maximum, extend behaviour, operating temperature — so you can size the job before you contact us.
The wattage decides, not the port count. Eight cameras at 12W each is 96W of load, so a 96W budget leaves nothing for an IR heater or a PTZ. Add 30 % and take the next size up: 120W. The second rule is the 250 m extend mode — it exists only on fast-ethernet models and drops that port to 10 Mbps, which is fine for one 2 MP camera and not fine for 4K. If the run is longer than 250 m, fibre plus a media converter is the honest answer.

What is the minimum order quantity for PoE switches?
None for standard units — order 2–3 samples, test them on your own site, then scale by air or LCL sea freight. MOQ only applies to OEM orders with your own logo and packaging.
Is a 96W budget enough for eight cameras?
For eight fixed 2–5 MP cameras drawing 4–8W each, comfortably yes. Add IR heaters, a PTZ or any 802.3at device at 25.5W and you need the 120W version. The method that never fails: add up the real wattage from the camera datasheets, add 30 % headroom, then pick the next budget above that number.
Do you ship PoE switches to Africa and Latin America?
Yes — small orders by air courier (typically under a week), volume by LCL sea freight with mixed cartons welcome. Voltage and plug types are verified against your country before packing, and every quote includes both freight options.
How do I get wholesale prices?
