How many IP cameras can the ISW2000-8T2GP-POE-IN power?
All 8 FE ports are PoE (IEEE 802.3af/at) with a 120 W total budget — an average of 15 W per port with all eight loaded. Typical fixed IP cameras draw 4–12 W, so a full 8-camera setup fits comfortably, and a single port can deliver up to 30 W for PTZ or heated housings.
Can it power a camera 250 m away?
Yes. In CCTV mode each copper port carries data plus PoE power up to 250 m at 10 Mbps, so distant cameras connect without mid-span extenders. Both VLAN and CCTV working modes are plug-and-play with no configuration, and the 2 × 1000 Mbps SFP slots handle the gigabit fiber uplink.
Will it survive heat, cold and surges in a field cabinet?
It is rated -30 to 65 °C with 5–95% non-condensing humidity, plus ±6 kV contact / ±8 kV air ESD and ±2 kV differential / ±4 kV common-mode surge protection. The 145 × 109 × 58 mm body suits pole cabinets, gate barriers and rooftop enclosures in hot or cold climates.
