Overview
The CPD-100 is an E1 protection channel switching device that provides E1 1+1 transmission line protection over a standard 2M transmission channel (G.703), designed to power-utility protection channel standards. It automatically selects the E1 channel with the best signal quality between the primary and backup lines based on on-site line conditions, safeguarding the reliability and security of critical E1 link data transmission. Supporting lossy, lossless, automatic, and manual switching modes, it also provides comprehensive network management that monitors E1 channel signal quality and device status in real time, reporting to the ZJPManager network management platform.

It gives one 2048 kbit/s E1 link (G.703) 1+1 protection: the unit monitors primary and backup lines and keeps traffic on the channel with better signal quality, deciding on LOS, LOF, AIS and RAI alarms plus bit errors. It is designed to power-utility protection channel standards for critical relay-protection links.
Which switching modes does the CPD-100 support?
Four modes: lossy, lossless, automatic and manual. Lossless switching works when the delay difference between the two paths is within 30 ms, and overall system delay is 30 ms or less. The E1 stream can be framed or unframed, HDB3 line code, 2048 kbit/s ±50 ppm.
What happens if the CPD-100 loses power?
A built-in E1 bypass takes over on power loss, so the E1 line keeps carrying traffic even with the unit unpowered. Power input is -48 V DC (accepting -36 to -72 V) or AC 220 V, and consumption stays at 10 W or less.
How do I monitor the device and E1 line quality remotely?
Network management runs in-band over the E1 channel or out-of-band over TCP/IP. The management system monitors E1 signal quality on both paths and device status, so an operations center sees LOS, LOF, AIS, RAI alarms and bit-error events before deciding on a manual switchover.
