Overview

The NSW3000-16T1GT1GC-POE-IN is a cloud managed 19-inch rack-mount Fast Ethernet PoE switch with 16 × 10/100Mbps RJ45 PoE ports (priority ports 1-8) plus a 1000Mbps RJ45 uplink (G2) and a 1000Mbps Combo RJ45/SFP uplink (G1/SFP1), self-developed by Uniview for lightweight Layer-2 management of camera networks in stores, supermarkets, enterprises and campuses. It delivers a 250 W total PoE budget (30 W max per port, IEEE 802.3af/at, Mode A/Mode B pinout) over a 7.2 Gbps switching fabric with 5.36 Mpps forwarding, a 4M bit packet buffer and a 16K MAC address table, cooled by a single internal fan and powered from a built-in AC 100–240V supply (265 W max). Through Uniview's cloud software and app, the switch auto-discovers connected video devices, builds a network topology, segments traffic across up to 32 VLANs, reports port abnormal alarms in real time, and lets an administrator check PoE status and remotely restart a hung camera's power without a site visit. The all-metal 440×195×44 mm 1U chassis (2.1 kg) runs from 0°C to 45°C and is NDAA compliant.

How many cameras can the NSW3000-16T1GT1GC-POE-IN power at once?
All 16 PoE ports simultaneously. The 250 W budget averages about 15 W per port while typical IP cameras draw 4–12 W, leaving headroom for several PTZ or heated cameras at up to 30 W each (IEEE 802.3af/at). Ports 1–8 hold power and forwarding priority for the most important channels.
How does it differ from the LPOE-IN version?
Same 16 × 100 Mbps PoE ports, gigabit RJ45 plus Combo uplinks, 7.2 Gbps fabric and cloud management. This POE-IN version raises the PoE budget to 250 W (max draw 265 W) and uses one internal fan; the LPOE-IN version gives 150 W and is fanless. Pick by total camera wattage and noise tolerance.
Can I manage it from a phone in the field?
Yes. Cloud login works via web, app or QR-code scan, covering several devices in one place: view status, see per-port PoE power draw, switch a port's PoE off and on to reboot a stuck camera, upgrade firmware, import/export configuration and export logs. Up to 32 peer switches and 64 video devices are visible.
What VLAN and protection features does it offer?
Up to 32 VLANs (IDs 1–4094) in Access or Trunk mode, one aggregation group across the two uplinks, built-in loop detection, port rate limiting and broadcast storm control. Downlink port isolation keeps cameras from talking to each other, and web login can be locked to up to 64 IP addresses.
What are the uplinks, and how far can a camera link reach?
G2 is a 1000 Mbps RJ45 uplink and G1/SFP1 is a gigabit Combo port for copper or SFP fiber; the two can form one link-aggregation group toward the recorder. Camera runs are 100 m standard, or up to 250 m in Extend mode at 10 Mbps full duplex. Housing is 19-inch 1U, 440 × 189.8 × 44 mm.
