It combines 30 m infrared and 15 m warm-light illumination for discreet or full-color night vision, accurate human body detection 2.0, PoE single-cable power, and an NDAA-compliant, IP67 outdoor build rated for −30 °C to 60 °C. It is offered with two fixed lenses: 2.8 mm (AF28, wider view) or 4.0 mm (AF40, longer reach).

Does the IPC-B134-DL keep color at night, and how?

It carries two light sources: warm white light to 15 m (49.2 ft) that keeps faces and clothing colors visible and openly deters intruders, and 850 nm IR to 30 m (98.4 ft) for discreet black-and-white viewing. With the F1.6 lens, color sensitivity reaches 0.003 Lux, dropping to 0 Lux with light on.

What does NDAA compliant mean for my project?

This model is listed as NDAA compliant, which matters if your end client is a government body, contractor or multinational that requires NDAA-cleared equipment in tenders. Specifying a compliant 4MP dual-light bullet up front avoids swapping hardware later when the procurement checklist arrives.

What resolution and frame rates does the 4MP sensor deliver?

Main stream options are 4 MP (2560x1440) at up to 25 fps, 3 MP (2304x1296) at 30 fps and 1080P at 30 fps, alongside a sub stream — dual streams total. Bitrate spans 128–6144 Kbps under Ultra 265, H.265 or H.264 with U-code, so you can balance detail against storage days on the NVR.

Is it ready for outdoor mounting, and does it detect people?

Yes on both. The IP67 bullet housing takes rain and dust on walls or poles, PoE brings power and video over one Ethernet cable, and a built-in mic records G.711U/A audio at 64 Kbps. Human body detection 2.0 plus motion and audio detection keep alarms focused on people, not passing shadows.
