Which lens option should I pick for the IPC2122LB-ADF28(40)KM-H?

The 2.8 mm (ADF28KM) covers 112.9° horizontally and detects a person at 42 m — pick it for wide, close scenes like forecourts. The 4.0 mm (ADF40KM) narrows to 91.2° but detects at 60 m and identifies at 6 m versus 4.2 m, better for driveways and passages.

What does 120 dB true WDR actually do for me?

It exposes bright and dark parts of the frame separately, so a doorway looking out into strong sunlight shows both the lit street and the person stepping inside. Without it, backlit subjects become silhouettes. HLC and BLC add headlight and backlight correction on top.

How far does it see at night?

Smart IR at 850 nm reaches 30 m with auto or manual control, and the IR-cut filter switches to black-and-white in the dark. In color the sensor works down to 0.01 lux at F2.0, so areas under street or compound lighting hold color into the night.

Does it have people-based perimeter detection?

Yes — cross-line detection is based on human body detection, so a rule drawn along a wall or gate fires on people, not stray animals or shadows. Ultra motion detection, standard motion detection, tampering alarm and audio detection complete the alert options.

How is it powered and mounted outdoors?

PoE carries power and video on one network cable from your switch or NVR. The IP67 bullet housing is sealed against dust and rain, the bracket adjusts 0-360 degrees pan and 0-90 degrees tilt, and a built-in microphone records audio without extra wiring.
