The IPC6824EL-X42-W-VH1 is a 4MP network PTZ camera (2688×1520 @60fps) built around a 1/1.8" CMOS sensor and a 6.0–252 mm, 42× optical zoom lens (16× digital), giving a horizontal field of view from 59.47° down to 2.20°. An 850nm laser illuminator reaches up to 500 m — with range scaling to the current zoom level — while LightHunter low-light processing keeps color visible at 0.0003 Lux. Auto tracking classifies human, vehicle and non-motor-vehicle targets with handover across smart intrusion detection (cross line / intrusion / enter area / leave area), and people-flow counting with crowd density detection runs alongside it. Gyroscope-based EIS keeps the long zoom steady, a wiper clears the front window, and the IP67 / IK10 housing runs from -40 °C to 70 °C on AC 24 V, DC 24 V or PoE (IEEE 802.3bt).
Is this the right camera for you?
Plain-language guide for buyers and installers — based only on what this camera actually does.
- Not a panoramic-linkage camera — this is a classic single-sensor 42× PTZ. If you need a fixed 360° overview channel plus a zoomed detail channel in one housing, look at a panoramic-linkage model instead.
- The 500 m laser figure is the maximum at full telephoto — laser reach is proportional to optical zoom, so it is noticeably shorter at wide-angle settings.
- Audio I/O is 1 input / 1 output only, with no built-in speaker or microphone listed on the datasheet — plan an external mic/speaker if two-way audio is required at the pole.
- 6.9 kg and Ø226.7 mm: this dome needs the dedicated Uniview bracket family (pole / wall / ceiling / corner / gooseneck) and a rigid mounting point, not a lightweight universal arm.
Worried about counterfeits? Order under your own company name.
For corporate buyers: we support submitting the purchase order to Uniview under your company's real name — your company appears on the official order, so the origin of the goods can be verified directly with the manufacturer. Just provide your company name and pay by corporate bank transfer. Models carrying the anti-counterfeit label can also be self-verified on Uniview's official Anti-Counterfeiting Query page — enter the unit's SN plus the scratch-off code.
Using your own freight forwarder? No problem.
For small and mid-size orders, we deliver directly to your designated forwarder's warehouse in China (EXW / FOB Guangzhou). From hand-over onward, international shipping and destination-side arrangements are handled by your forwarder — the way you already work.

Laser Illumination + Long-Range Zoom
The two capabilities that define this camera's reach, from the official datasheet.
850nm laser, up to 500 m — auto/manual control, distance proportional to optical zoom
6.0–252 mm lens (16× digital zoom on top) with DORI Identify distance up to ≈333 m at full telephoto
How far can it see? (DORI standard)
DORI (EN 62676-4) is the industry standard for what a camera can do at distance. Figures shown are at full 42× telephoto zoom (the lens's narrowest field of view and longest range); at wide angle these distances are shorter.
How wide a view at each distance
Scene width covered at typical mounting distances — the number you need to work out how many cameras a wall, yard or aisle takes.
| Distance | 59.5° wide | 2.2° tele |
|---|---|---|
| 5 m16 ft | 5.7 m18.7 ft | 0.2 m0.6 ft |
