The Uniview NVR508-B Series is an 8-bay 2U rack-mount network video recorder offered in three sizes: NVR508-16B (16-ch), NVR508-32B (32-ch) and NVR508-64B (64-ch). All three record cameras up to 16MP with Ultra 265 / H.265 / H.264 compression, support RAID 1/5 across up to 8 SATA bays (24 TB each), and output VGA/HDMI independently, with the 64B model outputting both simultaneously by default. The recorder carries ONVIF certification and provides a 38-language local interface.

- Hot-swap drive trays — the manual doesn't describe hot-swap bays; the 8 SATA drives mount inside the chassis
- A redundant/dual power supply — Power Supply is a single AC 100–240V input, not described as dual
- RAID 6 or RAID 10 — Disk Array Type supports only RAID 1 and RAID 5
- RS232 serial control — this series has no RS232 port (RS485 only)
