The Uniview NVR824-R-IM Series is a 24-SATA network video recorder offered in two channel counts: NVR824-128-R-IM-8G (128-ch, 3U chassis) and NVR824-256-R-IM-16G (256-ch, 4U chassis). Both record cameras up to 12MP with Ultra 265 / H.265 / H.264 compression, output independently over two HDMI ports (each up to 4K) plus one VGA port, and support RAID 0/1/5/6/10/50/60 with N+1 hot spare and an optional second power supply for redundancy across 24 SATA interfaces each up to 16 TB. Third-party IP cameras connect via ONVIF conformance (Profile S, G, C, Q, A, T), the chassis carries 768 Mbps incoming/outgoing bandwidth with 24 alarm inputs and 8 alarm outputs, and the local interface is available in 38 languages including Spanish (Latin America), Portuguese (Brazil) and French.

- A small deployment — this series starts at 128 channels; a lower-channel Uniview NVR fits smaller sites better
- Full NVR-side smart analytics on any third-party camera — Smart-by-NVR functions on non-Uniview ("normal") cameras are capped to 64-ch on the 128-R-IM-8G / 128-ch on the 256-R-IM-16G, not all channels
