What ports does the ZJIES1000D-8GT2GB have?
It provides 8 × 10/100/1000Base-T copper ports plus 2 × 1000Base-X fiber uplinks — pluggable SFP slots on the -8GT2GB version, or fixed SC/ST/FC fiber connectors on the -8GT2F version. Switching is store-and-forward with a 4K MAC table and 1 Mbit buffer.
How far can the fiber uplinks transmit?
Over multimode fiber the 1000Base-X uplinks reach 2 km; over single-mode fiber you can select 20, 40, 60 or 120 km versions. That covers long runs between buildings or to remote cabinets, far beyond what copper cabling allows.
What power supply does it need?
Three options: dual redundant DC 24V (12–36V), dual redundant DC 48V (36–56V), or single AC 220V (100–240V), all on 4-pin terminals. Consumption is 6 W maximum, with reverse-polarity and overload protection built in, so a failed supply will not take the network down.
Does this switch need any configuration?
No. It is an unmanaged plug-and-play switch — connect cables and power and it forwards traffic immediately using store-and-forward switching. There is no software to set up, which keeps commissioning simple for installers and integrators working in the field.
Can it work in harsh environments?
