Overview

The ZJIES1000D-8GT series is an unmanaged industrial Gigabit DIN-rail Ethernet switch with 8 × 10/100/1000Base-T copper ports for full-rate Gigabit access on every port. It is plug-and-play with no configuration required, uses store-and-forward switching with an 8K MAC address table and 1 Mbit packet buffer, and ships in a compact IP40 metal enclosure (32×144×95 mm) for DIN-rail or wall mounting. Powered by AC 220V (100–240V) single input or DC 24V (12–36V) / 48V (36–56V) redundant dual input with reverse-polarity and overload protection, it operates from -40 to +75°C — suited for cabinets and industrial edge sites that need reliable all-copper Gigabit uplinks rather than Fast Ethernet.

Is This the Right Fit?

Six real deployment scenarios matched to this model's actual datasheet specifications.

Simple All-Copper Gigabit Cabinet UpgradeAll 8 × 10/100/1000Base-T ports run full-rate Gigabit with no fiber optics or SFP modules to manage — a drop-in upgrade path for Fast-Ethernet cabinets that only need copper-to-copper Gigabit access.
DIN-Rail Cabinet Installation, Any Power TypeThree selectable power inputs — AC 220V (100–240V) single input, DC 24V (12–36V) redundant, or DC 48V (36–56V) redundant — and a compact 32×144×95 mm DIN-rail (or wall-mount) body fit directly into a standard electrical cabinet.
High-Density MAC Table for Busy Gigabit SegmentsAn 8K MAC address table with a 1 Mbit packet buffer — double the MAC table size of this series' Fast-Ethernet-only 8-port sibling — handles heavier device counts and traffic bursts on Gigabit-speed segments.
AC-Powered Retrofits Without DC InfrastructureThe -AC variant runs directly off AC 220V (100–240V) mains, letting sites without an existing DC 24V/48V control-panel supply add Gigabit copper switching without installing a separate DC power source.
Wide-Temperature Outdoor & Unheated Cabinet DeploymentA wide operating range of -40 to +75°C (-40 to +85°C storage) plus EN61000-4 Level 3 EMC immunity suit unheated roadside cabinets and unconditioned equipment rooms.
Gigabit Uplink Aggregation for Cameras & Access PointsWhere Fast Ethernet's 100 Mbps ceiling bottlenecks Gigabit-capable cameras or Wi-Fi access points, all 8 × 10/100/1000Base-T ports give each device a full 1000 Mbps uplink instead of throttling it to 100 Mbps.
Not a good fit if:
  • Unmanaged switch — no VLAN, RSTP/MSTP ring redundancy, or web-based management; choose a managed model for segmented or ring-topology networks.
  • No PoE output on any of the 8 copper ports — cameras, APs, or IP phones needing PoE power require an external injector or a PoE-capable switch.
  • Copper-only design — no built-in fiber ports; sites needing a long-haul fiber uplink beyond standard copper reach require an external media converter or a fiber-equipped model.

8-Port Gigabit DIN-Rail Switch FAQ — ZJIES1000D-8GT

Is every port on the ZJIES1000D-8GT full gigabit?
Yes — all 8 ports are 10/100/1000Base-T with full-rate gigabit access on every port, store-and-forward switching, an 8K MAC address table and 1 Mbit packet buffer. IEEE 802.3x flow control is supported, so bursty devices do not overrun slower receivers.
Which power versions are offered?
AC 220V (100–240V) single input, or DC 24V (12–36V) / DC 48V (36–56V) with dual redundant input on 4-pin terminals. All include reverse-polarity and overload protection. Maximum consumption is 6 W, so even a modest DC supply powers it with margin.
Does it include fiber or SFP ports?
No — the 8GT is a copper-only model: 8 RJ45 gigabit ports and no fiber interface. Choose it when all runs stay on copper inside or near the cabinet; if you need fiber uplinks, the ZJIES1000D family includes models with fixed fiber ports or SFP slots.
Is it plug-and-play for field installers?
Yes — no configuration is required at any point. Wire the power terminal, plug in up to 8 gigabit copper links and it forwards immediately, with power and link LEDs for verification. There is no management interface to secure, patch or document, which many industrial customers prefer.
What environment and reliability figures does it carry?
Standard temperature -10 to +60°C, wide temperature -40 to +75°C, storage -40 to +85°C, humidity 5–95% non-condensing. The IP40 metal case measures 32 x 144 x 95 mm on DIN rail or wall. EN61000-4 Level 3 EMS immunity, IEC60068 shock/vibration compliance, 320,000-hour MTBF, 5-year warranty.
