Overview

The ZJIES6028M-24GT4GB-DC is an IEC61850-3 compliant industrial managed Layer-2 19-inch rack-mount gigabit switch with 24 × 10/100/1000Base-T copper ports and 4 × 1000Base-X SFP fiber slots. It provides full management — QoS, VLAN, IGMP Snooping/GMRP, Port Trunking, SNMP v1/v2/v3 — and ring-redundancy protocols (STP/RSTP/MSTP/ERPS/ZJRing) with self-healing under 20 ms. Redundant power input, wide-temperature design and strong EMC immunity make it suitable for substation automation and demanding industrial sites. The ZJIES6028M series scales to 28 gigabit ports across many copper/fiber configurations.

What can I do with the 4 SFP fiber slots?
The -24GT4GB-DC pairs 24 × 10/100/1000Base-T copper ports with 4 × 1000Base-X SFP slots. Two slots can close a protected fiber ring while the other two serve as spare uplinks — for example one link to a second aggregation site and one to a local NVR room — without adding a second switch.
What fiber distances do the SFP slots support?
Each 1000Base-X SFP slot accepts multimode optics for 2 km or single-mode optics for 20, 40, 60 or 120 km. Mixing is allowed per slot, so short intra-plant hops and a long run to a remote station can terminate on the same switch.
Which ring redundancy protocols are supported?
STP, RSTP and MSTP for standard spanning-tree interoperability, ERPS per ITU-T G.8032 with recovery under 50 ms, and the proprietary ZJRing self-healing ring that restores service in under 20 ms. LACP link aggregation (2 groups of up to 4 ports) adds bandwidth and per-trunk redundancy.
What security features protect field networks?
ACLs, port MAC filtering and MAC binding stop unauthorized devices; 802.1X with RADIUS authenticates what plugs in; DDoS self-defense protects the CPU. Storm suppression for broadcast, multicast and unknown unicast, plus rate limiting from 64 Kbps, contain misbehaving nodes before they take down the ring.
How is configuration backed up and restored?
Configuration files can be exported and imported, so a commissioned setup is cloned to spares or restored after replacement in minutes. Firmware upgrades run over the web interface or serial TFTP, and the RS-232 console (RJ45, 9600 bps, 8/N/1) remains available for out-of-band recovery.
