The Uniarch IPC-P224-AF40C is a 4MP pan-tilt network camera from the ColorHunter line. It combines auto tracking, two-way audio with sound-and-light warning, and equal-reach 30 m infrared plus 30 m warm-light illumination, and records locally to a MicroSD card up to 512 GB. It carries a fixed 4.0 mm lens (75° view) and moves on a 345° pan / 90° tilt head with 20 presets.

Does the IPC-P224-AF40C track people and vehicles by itself?

Yes — ultra motion detection based on human body and vehicle detection hands targets to the auto tracking function, and the pan-tilt head turns to keep them in frame. The 4.0 mm lens is fixed with a 74.5° view, so tracking is mechanical rather than optical zoom.

How far does it see at night and in what color?

Both illuminators reach 30 m: invisible 850 nm IR for discreet black-and-white monitoring, or warm white light that keeps the 4MP image in color — faces, clothing and vehicle colors included. DORI figures run 90 m detect, 18 m recognize and 9 m identify.

Can I speak through it to warn someone off?

Yes — two-way audio runs G.711U/G.711A at 64 Kbps with echo suppression, so a guard can challenge an intruder or answer a driver remotely. High-decibel detection listens for abnormal loud sounds, and tampering alarm reports attempts to block the camera.

Does it actively deter, or only record evidence?

Both. The 30 m warm light makes the surveillance visible, and when a person or vehicle is detected the sound-and-light alarm fires while auto tracking keeps the target in frame. Two-way talk-down adds a live voice — often enough to stop an intrusion early.

What storage and resolution options do I get?

The main stream records 4MP (2560×1440) at up to 25 fps — or 3MP/1080p at 30 fps — in Ultra 265, H.265 or H.264, with bit rate from 128 to 6144 Kbps. A MicroSD card up to 512 GB records locally, so small sites can run without an NVR, and the IP66 shell handles outdoor weather.
