The Uniview IPC3234EA is a 4MP LightHunter WDR network dome camera built around a 1/1.8" CMOS sensor and a motorized 4X zoom lens. It combines up to 140 dB optical WDR, Smart IR night vision to 40 m, and metadata analysis (human/vehicle attributes, face recognition, intrusion prevention, people counting) in an IP67/IK10 body powered over PoE+. It is offered with two lens options: AHDZK (2.8-12 mm, wide coverage) or AHDX4K (8-32 mm, long-range reach).
Is this the right camera for you?
Plain-language guide for buyers and installers — based only on what this camera actually does.
- A simple fixed-focus lens — this is a motorized 4X zoom lens (2.8-12 mm or 8-32 mm), not a fixed 2.8/4 mm lens
- Wi-Fi — this is a wired RJ45 camera
- A visible warm-light deterrent — this model uses invisible 850 nm Smart IR only, no white-light illuminator
- Battery or solar power — PoE+ / DC 12V wired power only
- 8MP/4K resolution — this camera is 4MP (2688 × 1520)
Worried about counterfeits? Order under your own company name.
For corporate buyers: we support submitting the purchase order to Uniview under your company's real name — your company appears on the official order, so the origin of the goods can be verified directly with the manufacturer. Key Features
Complete list from the official datasheet.
Built for the dark: LightHunter WDR + Smart IR
Two complementary low-light technologies — this model has no visible warm-light illuminator.
Invisible infrared — night vision without lighting up the scene
Smart IR reaches up to 40 m (131.2 ft.) at 850 nm, with Auto/Manual control — steady coverage after dark with no visible light source.
Ultra-low-light color imaging with wide dynamic range
The LightHunter sensor holds color detail down to 0.0003 Lux (AHDZK, F1.2) / 0.0005 Lux (AHDX4K, F1.6) with AGC on, and up to 140 dB optical WDR balances bright and dark areas in the same frame.
How far can it see? (DORI)
DORI (EN 62676-4) is the industry standard for what a camera can do at distance. Because each lens is a motorized 4X zoom, every value spans a range from wide to full telephoto. Switch the lens buttons above to compare.
How wide a view at each distance
Scene width covered at typical mounting distances — the number you need to work out how many cameras a wall, yard or aisle takes.

Calculated from the horizontal field of view in the specifications below: width = 2 × distance × tan(FOV ÷ 2). Lens distortion and mounting angle are not included.
