Park & Campus Security: Eight Systems, One Screen

Video, access control, intercom, ANPR parking, AI analytics, thermal perimeter, alarms and a command center — merged into one platform, so one operator sees everything and every alarm knows what to do next.

Why Growing Parks Outgrow Their Security

The original solution document is blunt about what breaks first in industrial parks, business campuses and public parks as they scale:

Eight systems, eight loginsCCTV, doors, intercom, parking and alarms each live in their own software. Nothing talks to anything, and the control room juggles windows instead of handling events.
Cameras that only recordLow intelligence means no early warning: incidents are found the next morning by scrubbing footage, not the moment they start.
Queues at every gateManual ID checks and guest registration are slow; staff and visitors queue while guards copy plate numbers by hand.
Parking nobody can seeNo live occupancy data, no guidance, no blacklist alerts — chaos at peak hours and zero numbers for management.
Alarms that arrive lateAlarm linkage lags: by the time someone notices the alert, the event is over. Emergency response depends on whoever happens to be watching.

System Architecture

Field devices feed outdoor PoE switches on a self-healing fiber ring; the control room runs the NVR pool, the unified platform (2,000 video channels + 300 doors + ANPR), AI analytics, the 4K video wall and a five-level alarm engine.

Six Jobs This System Does

Every card below comes from the original solution — translated from engineer-speak into what actually happens on the ground.

A fence that never blinksOptical + thermal cameras watch the perimeter in any light and any weather; crossing, intrusion and loitering trigger instantly, with 99% claimed detection accuracy keeping false alarms rare.
Gates that recognize staffFace recognition opens the door in about 0.2 s with liveness detection against photo tricks; card and QR remain as fallbacks, every entry is logged, and strangers raise a real-time alert.
Parking that runs itselfANPR opens the barrier for registered staff cars, flags blacklisted plates, books visitors in advance, guides drivers to free bays and publishes live space counts — with full vehicle trails for investigations.
Roads and plazas in one viewPanoramic multi-sensor cameras hold the whole square while 42× PTZ domes chase the detail; elevator cameras and night-enhanced models cover the spots fixed lenses miss.
Heat spotted before smokeThermal cameras read temperature anomalies and distant fire points around warehouses, server rooms and hazardous storage — plus smoking detection where a cigarette is a risk, hours before a conventional alarm would trip.
One alarm, six reactionsFive severity levels (Alert to Critical) each trigger their own chain: video-wall popup, siren and strobe, door lockdown, e-mail, SMS and app push — with the event pinned on the e-map so responders know exactly where to run.

The Numbers That Matter

Key capabilities from the official solution:
One platform: 2,000 video channels + 300 access-control doors + ANPR devices
96 AI algorithms — intrusion, loitering, blacklist faces, smoking, sleeping-on-duty, PPE, crowd density
Perimeter intrusion detection rated at 99% accuracy in the official material
Face access in about 0.2 s with liveness detection — card and QR as backup
Five alarm levels driving video-wall popup, siren, doors, e-mail, SMS and app push

System Components

These are the equipment roles the solution is built from. Exact models are chosen per site conditions, country requirements and budget — several of our product lines fit each role, so we spec the model list after receiving your requirement list.

ItemWhat it does
Roads & plaza panoramic PTZOne unit holds the whole open area and auto-tracks whatever its wide view detects.
High-point 42× PTZ domesLong-range patrol and zoom-in from rooftops and poles — the original design pairs high-point overview with low-point detail.
Fixed cameras — roads, indoor, elevatorsDual-light bullets and domes for roads, offices, corridors and lift cars.
Thermal perimeter & fire-watch camerasWeather-proof detection plus temperature-anomaly and distant-fire-point alerts for warehouses and hazardous zones.
Recording & AI search7×24 recording with person/vehicle search; scales from per-building NVRs to a central pool.
Outdoor fiber-ring PoE networkIndustrial switches power cameras at the poles; the fiber ring self-heals if a cable is cut, so the picture barely flickers.

Design Notes & Honest Limits

Read this before you order:
  • The 96 AI algorithms live partly in cameras and partly in platform/server licenses — the exact split depends on which analytics you enable, so the server bill of materials must be sized after the function list is agreed, not before.
  • Thermal fire-watch is early warning, not a certified fire-alarm system — it complements but does not legally replace code-required smoke detectors and fire panels.
  • Face recognition and people analytics are regulated in many countries — plan signage, consent and data-retention rules with your legal team before enabling blacklist and stranger alerts.
  • ANPR accuracy depends on plate styles in your country and on lane geometry (camera angle under 30°, one camera per lane) — confirm your plate samples with us before fixing the lane design.
  • The 2,000-channel / 300-door figures are the reference platform capacity from the original document — larger estates cascade multiple servers, which changes licensing and storage math.

FAQ

How many cameras does a park or campus need?
Rule of thumb from this architecture: perimeter cameras every 50–80 m of fence (closer if thermal pairs are used), one panoramic or PTZ per major plaza or junction, one camera per gate lane plus one per face terminal, one per elevator car, plus indoor coverage per building. A 20-hectare campus typically lands between 150 and 400 channels — the platform reference capacity is 2,000, so headroom is rarely the problem; cabling is.
Can video, access control and parking really run on one platform?
Yes — that is the core of this solution: one management platform takes video (2,000 ch reference), 300 doors, intercom, ANPR and alarms, shares one user directory and one e-map, and cross-links them: an alarm can pop video, lock doors and push to phones in one rule. The practical caveat: all subsystems should come from the compatible ecosystem — mixing third-party door controllers usually costs the linkage.
Does the face access work for visitors, not just staff?
Yes. Staff enroll once and pass in ~0.2 s; visitors pre-register (or register at reception), get a time-limited face/QR credential, and their car plate can be pre-authorized for the parking barrier in the same booking. Strangers who tailgate raise a real-time alert. Every passage — staff or guest — is logged and searchable.
What does the thermal camera add over normal cameras?
Three things the original document calls out: it works in zero light and bad weather where optics struggle; it reads temperature, so it flags an overheating cable tray or charging room before smoke exists; and it sees distant fire points across large grounds. Around warehouses, server rooms and hazardous storage it is the early-warning layer — paired with optical cameras for identification, because thermal alone cannot recognize faces.
What happens when the fence is crossed at 3 a.m.?
The perimeter analytics (or thermal pair) fires within seconds at the claimed 99% accuracy; the alarm engine grades it, pops the camera on the video wall with the location pinned on the e-map, can trigger the nearest siren and lock adjacent doors, and pushes to the duty phone. A PTZ preset can swing a 42× dome onto the breach point automatically. The guard confirms on video before walking out — so night patrols respond to events, not rounds.
