It adds 120 dB true WDR for balancing bright and dark areas in the same frame, a built-in mic with MicroSD edge storage (up to 512 GB), and an IP67 + IK10 body rated for outdoor and vandal-resistant use across a −30 °C to 60 °C working range, powered by PoE. How does it stay in color at night without any IR or white light?

Through optics and processing rather than illuminators: an F1.0 large-aperture lens on a 1/2.7-inch sensor feeds Wise-ISP processing, holding full color down to 0.0003 Lux with AGC on. It has no supplemental light at all, so it depends on some ambient light — street lamps or shop signage are enough.

Why choose color night vision instead of normal IR?

Because color is evidence. Clothing color, vehicle color and skin tone survive in the recording instead of shades of grey, which makes identification and police reports far more useful. For shopfronts, fuel stations and residential streets with ambient light, that trade-off usually wins.

Does it also handle harsh daytime light?

Yes. 120 dB true WDR balances a bright doorway or headlight glare against dark interiors in one frame, with HLC, BLC and digital defog on top. So the same dome that keeps color at night also keeps faces readable against a blazing entrance at noon.

What smart detection does the IPC3512LE-ADF28(40)K-WP include?

Smart Intrusion Prevention Lite provides intrusion and cross-line detection based on human body and vehicle detection, cutting false alarms from animals and moving branches. Basic detection adds motion, ultra motion, tampering alarm and audio detection via the built-in microphone.

How do I power it and store footage on site?
