The IPC6624SR-X25-VD2 is a 4MP X25 network PTZ dome camera built around a 4.8-120 mm motorized lens (25× optical, 8× digital zoom) that swings from a 53.90° wide overview down to a 3.00° tight telephoto field, reaching DORI Detect distances up to 2407.5 m. UNV Large Model auto tracking accurately identifies and continuously tracks motor vehicles, non-motor vehicles and pedestrians — even through occlusion, multi-target crossing or high-speed motion — while smart intrusion prevention (cross line, enter/leave area, intrusion detection) applies classification-based false-alarm filtering. The camera adds 120 dB true WDR, Wise-ISP low-light processing, heatwave reduction, adaptive defog, 200 m smart IR illumination, IP67/IK10 protection and -40 °C to 70 °C operation, powered by DC 24 V, AC 24 V or PoE (IEEE 802.3at).

How far can the IPC6624SR-X25-VD2 see at night?
Its infrared illumination reaches 200 m, so the 25x zoom stays usable well beyond the pole after dark. The IR-cut filter switches automatically between day and night modes, and 120 dB WDR with a 1 to 1/100000 s shutter handles gate lights and vehicle headlamps in the same frame.
What identification distance does the 25x zoom give?
With the 4.8–120 mm lens at full telephoto, DORI figures are 2407.5 m for detection, 963.0 m for observation, 481.5 m for recognition and 240.8 m for identification. So a perimeter operator can spot movement over 2 km away and confirm a person at roughly 240 m.
Is it compatible with third-party NVRs and VMS software?
Yes. ONVIF Profile S, G, T and M plus RTSP and RTMP mean third-party recorders and platforms can pull its streams, with SDK/API for custom work. It also supports 802.1x, QoS, SNMP and SSL/TLS for corporate networks, and Uniview EZStation, UNV-Link and UNV-Link Pro clients.
How does it keep recording when the network drops?
A microSD card up to 512 GB provides edge storage on the camera, and NAS (NFS) is supported for network storage. Footage recorded locally during an outage stays available for review, which matters for remote gates and poles fed by wireless links or long cable runs.
Will it handle both desert heat and cold highlands?
The camera operates from -40 to 70 °C with an IP67/IK10 housing, so the same model serves coastal humidity, desert sites and cold highlands without heater cabinets. Auto tracking and digital defog keep it effective when weather and visibility change through the day.
Can it patrol preset positions on a schedule?
