The IPC6852ER-X45-VF is a 2MP (1920×1080 @30fps) PTZ dome camera built around a 1/1.8" CMOS sensor and a 5.7–256.5 mm 45× optical zoom lens (16× digital), giving a DORI Detect range from 88.4 m at the wide end up to 3980.2 m at full telephoto. LightHunter low-light processing keeps color video down to 0.0005 lux, and Smart IR extends visibility to 250 m once it's fully dark. On the analytics side it runs smart intrusion prevention (cross line, intrusion, enter/leave area) with false-alarm filtering and human/non-motor/motor vehicle classification, plus people counting with crowd density monitoring. The housing is rated IP66 and works from -40 °C to 70 °C, and it accepts AC 24 V, DC 24 V or PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt) power.

This is a classic single-lens 45× PTZ, not a panoramic-linkage unit — it has no second wide-angle channel and no auto-tracking hand-off between channels. If you need one head to auto-follow a target across a whole scene, look at a panoramic-linkage PTZ instead.

Can I power the IPC6852ER over the network cable?

Yes — the product data lists PoE++ support, so a PoE++ switch port or injector can run this PTZ over the same cable that carries video. Standard 802.3af/at ports on ordinary cctv poe switches are usually too weak for PTZ domes, so confirm your switch supplies PoE++ class power.

How far can it identify a vehicle plate area or a person?

The 45x lens (5.7–256.5 mm) posts the longest DORI reach in this series: detect 3980.2 m, observe 1592.1 m, recognize 796 m and identify 398 m at full telephoto. LightHunter sensitivity of 0.0005 lux keeps those distances usable after sunset.

What is the night vision distance?
