The NSW2020-6T-POE-IN is an unmanaged Fast Ethernet PoE switch with 6 × 10/100Mbps RJ45 ports — 4 PoE-enabled downlink ports (ports 1-2 carry power priority) plus 2 uplink ports — built for plug-and-play CCTV micro-deployments. It delivers a 60 W total PoE power budget (30 W max per port, IEEE 802.3af/at, Mode B pinout: 4/5+, 7/8-) over a 1.2 Gbps switching fabric with 0.90 Mpps forwarding, a 448K bit packet buffer and a 1K MAC address table. A fanless, all-metal 107×101×25 mm housing (0.19 kg) runs from 0°C to 45°C, is NDAA compliant, and switches between Default (Normal) and EXTEND (250 m surveillance reach) working modes via a rear-panel slide switch — no management software required.
Is This the Right Fit?
Six real deployment scenarios matched to this model's actual datasheet specifications.
- Unmanaged — no Web/CLI/SNMP access or VLAN tagging; the rear-panel switch offers only Default/EXTEND positions, with no separate VLAN-isolation mode; choose a managed switch if you need remote configuration or port isolation.
- Fast Ethernet only (10/100Mbps, no Gigabit) — for 4K or multi-stream camera backbones and NVR uplinks, choose a Gigabit PoE switch instead.
- 30 W max per port but only 60 W total budget — the 4 PoE ports can't all run at full 30 W simultaneously (4×30 W = 120 W ≫ 60 W budget), and 802.3bt heated PTZ domes (60–90 W) need a bt-capable switch or midspan injector since this model is 802.3af/at only.
Key Features
- 6 × 10/100Mbps RJ45 ports, including 4 PoE-enabled downlink ports (1-4) plus 2 uplink ports (5-6)
- 60 W total PoE budget, up to 30 W per port, IEEE 802.3af/at, Mode B pinout (4/5+, 7/8-)
- Ports 1-2 hold PoE power priority under budget contention
- IEEE 802.3x flow control and port traffic control for congestion management
- Packet buffer optimization for smoother multi-camera streaming
- EXTEND (surveillance) mode reaches up to 250 m via a rear-panel Default/Extend slide switch
- Fanless, all-metal 107×101×25 mm housing, NDAA compliant
