The DDR 6601 is a dual-mode pan-tilt camera on the platform with an H608 processor. It captures 2304x1296 (3MP) at H.265+ and connects over WiFi 6 (802.11ax) with Bluetooth pairing and SLE 1.0 — but it also carries a full RJ45 stack (HTTP, TCP/IP, RTSP, ONVIF, IP Search and more) with cross-segment auto image alongside RS-series NVRs and external PoE support. In weak-signal spots it switches from wireless to wired automatically, so the stream never depends on one radio. A 0.2T AI core drives human detection and tracking to 30 m; the head holds 6 presets. A dual-light board handles day/night with sound-light alarm, and the camera offers full-duplex talk with AI echo cancellation, timed/instant privacy sleep, a wireless IR-CUT and its own WiFi hotspot. It is powered by DC 12 V, records to a TF card up to 256 GB (FAT32), PC/NVR or cloud, manages under NVR or EasyVMS, and runs the P6SLite app in 17 languages.

Engineering note: WiFi through walls is unpredictable, which is exactly why this model carries wired PoE. If the point is far from the router, run one Ethernet drop as a safety net — tell us the cable distance and switch type and we will confirm the external PoE budget. If there is no network at the point at all, this is not the right camera; ask us about the 4G models instead.

WiFi + Wired PTZ Camera FAQ — DDR 6601

Can the DDR 6601 run on both WiFi and a network cable?

Yes. It has WiFi 6 (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax) plus an RJ45 port with external PoE support, and switching between wired and wireless is automatic — if WiFi drops, the cable takes over. Use WiFi where coverage reaches and Ethernet where it does not; the 3MP 2304x1296 H.265+ stream is the same either way.

Does it support ONVIF so I can add it to an NVR?

Yes — it speaks ONVIF and the P6S protocol, so it can record to an NVR as well as to a TF card up to 256 GB or a PC. EasyVMS handles central management, and with RS-series NVRs it can auto-image across network segments. Cloud storage is also supported.

How good is the human detection and night vision?

The 0.2T AI engine detects people up to 30 m away and follows them with human tracking across 6 preset positions. At night the dual-light board gives a night light plus a sound-light alarm on detection, with minimum illumination of 0.01 Lux and automatic day/night switching.

How is it powered — can I use PoE?

Native power is DC 12 V with a working current around 130 mA. The RJ45 side supports external PoE, so on a cabled run a single Ethernet cable can carry both data and power from a PoE source. If you deploy it wireless over WiFi, power it from the DC 12 V input.

Can I view it without a router or internet at the site?

Yes — it has a built-in WiFi hotspot, so a phone can connect to the camera directly. Recording continues locally to a TF card up to 256 GB (FAT32) on alarm or schedule, snapshots are supported, and privacy sleep can be timed or instant. The P6SLite app covers 17 languages.
