The Uniview IPC3612LB-SF28(40)-A is a 2MP fixed dome network camera. Smart IR reaches up to 30 m for night vision, it powers over a single PoE cable, and it carries an IP67 outdoor rating with a −30 °C to 60 °C working range. Which lens should I pick: SF28 (2.8 mm) or SF40 (4.0 mm)?

The 2.8 mm version covers 101.1 degrees horizontally with DORI detection at 45 m and identification at 4.5 m — good for rooms and close entries. The 4.0 mm version narrows to 82.5 degrees but stretches detection to 64.3 m and identification to 6.2 m.

How does it perform at night?

Smart IR covers up to 30 m at 850 nm, switchable Auto or Manual, with no visible glow. The IR-cut filter changes over automatically, color mode holds to 0.01 lux at F2.0, and with IR active it records at 0 lux in full darkness.

How is it powered on site?

Through PoE: the network cable from your PoE switch delivers power and video together, so there is no power adapter at the camera. That makes multi-camera rollouts across shops, schools and compounds faster and cheaper to cable.

Can it be installed outdoors in the rain?

Yes, the housing is IP67 rated against dust and water, so uncovered walls, gates and carports are fine. Aim it precisely with pan 0-360, tilt 0-80 and rotate 0-360 degrees, and digital defog helps in haze or dusty wind.

Is it usable where internet bandwidth is limited?

Yes. Ultra 265 and H.265 compression shrink the 1080p stream, with bit rate adjustable from 128 kbps to 6144 kbps. Dual streams let the NVR record full quality while remote viewers pull a light sub stream at D1 or 640x360.
