Four mechanical formats cover the usual outdoor positions: a portrait floor-standing totem for sidewalks and plazas, a hanging landscape unit for canopies and walkways, a large ceiling/canopy line up to 98″, and a wall-mounted line for building faces and fence lines. The display core is a high-brightness LCD at 1,000–2,500 cd/m² with an ambient light sensor that dials brightness up against sunlight and down at night; custom builds go up to 3,500 cd/m² for extreme exposures. Thermal management is the deciding spec outdoors, so each format ships in two builds: fan-cooled (IP55, −20/−15 °C to +45 °C) or air-conditioned (IP65, −40 °C to +55 °C) — the vent paths are baffled against driving rain. Inside runs an RK3288 player (2+8 GB, Android or Windows) decoding four 1080p streams or one 4K, with RJ45/USB feeds and optional capacitive touch behind tempered glass.

Engineering note: For hot or humid regions, tell us the installation orientation and how many hours of direct sun the face will take — we spec the brightness bin and the cooling package (fan vs air-conditioner) to the site, not from a generic table. Facing west in a tropical city is a different machine from facing north under a canopy.

Outdoor Digital Signage FAQ — 32–98″ High-Brightness Kiosks

Can the screen be read in direct African or Brazilian sunlight?

Yes — panels run 1,000–2,500 cd/m², with custom builds up to 3,500 cd/m² for the harshest west-facing sites, versus roughly 300 cd/m² on an indoor screen. An automatic light sensor raises brightness at midday and lowers it at night to save power and panel life.

What is the IP rating? Will it survive rain and dust?

Two enclosure grades: the fan-cooled build is IP55, the air-conditioned build is IP65 — sealed against dust ingress and water jets. Housings are galvanized steel with a powder-coated finish, so rain, harmattan dust and roadside grime are what the cabinet is engineered for.

Fan-cooled or air-conditioned — which should I choose for a hot climate?

Cooling is selectable per order. The fan-cooled version operates from −20 °C to +45 °C at 5–90% humidity; the air-conditioned version extends that to −40 °C to +55 °C at 5–95%. For Sahel, Gulf-facing or inland Brazilian sites that regularly pass 45 °C, take the A/C build.

What mounting formats and sizes are available?

Four formats: floor-standing portrait totem, hanging, ceiling/canopy and wall-mounted, in sizes from 32″ to 98″ — the portrait line covers 32/43/49/55/65/75″ at 1080×1920 or 2160×3840. Typical placements are transit stops, campuses, fuel stations and streetscapes.

How do I manage content, and what player is inside?

An RK3288 player with 2 GB RAM + 8 GB storage runs Android or Windows and decodes four 1080p streams or one 4K stream, with 10 W speakers for audio spots. Content loads over the RJ45 network port or USB 2.0, and a capacitive touch layer is optional for interactive kiosks.

What power supply does it need on an unstable grid?

The power stage accepts 90–130 V AC or 180–260 V AC depending on the build, so it tolerates the sags and swells common on 110 V and 220 V street feeds. Specify your local nominal voltage when ordering and the unit ships configured for that range.
