The Uniview NVR301-LS3-P Series is a 1-HDD PoE network video recorder offered in three sizes: NVR301-04LS3-P4 (4-ch, 4 built-in PoE ports), NVR301-08LS3-P8 (8-ch, 8 built-in PoE ports) and NVR301-16LS3-P8 (16-ch, 8 built-in PoE ports). All three record cameras up to 8MP with Ultra 265 / H.265 / H.264 compression and output simultaneously over 4K HDMI and VGA. One SATA bay takes a hard disk up to 10 TB; the local interface is available in 21 languages including Spanish (Latin America), Portuguese (Brazil) and French.

  • Gigabit uplink — the network port is 10/100M (fine for 16 cameras at 64 Mbps total)
  • Alarm in/out wiring for sirens or sensors — the external interface list has no dedicated alarm terminals

How many cameras can I connect and power?
The 04LS3-P4 records 4 channels with 4 PoE ports; the 08LS3-P8 records 8 channels with 8 PoE ports; the 16LS3-P8 records 16 channels with 8 PoE ports, so on the 16-channel model the other 8 cameras connect through your network switch.
What is the PoE power budget?
Every port supports IEEE 802.3at/af at up to 30W. The 04LS3-P4 has a 54W total budget and the 08LS3-P8 and 16LS3-P8 have 75W total — with typical fixed IP cameras drawing a few watts each, a full set of PoE-connected cameras fits comfortably.
What resolution does it record and display?
Recording goes up to 8MP (4K) per channel. The decoder handles 1×4K@30 or 4×5MP@25 for local display, HDMI output reaches 4K (3840×2160) at 30 Hz and VGA reaches 1920×1080 at 60 Hz. All channels play back synchronously on every model.
What hard drive capacity does it take?
One SATA bay accepts a surveillance hard drive up to 10 TB (maximum varies with ambient temperature and disk model). Ultra 265 compression cuts recording size dramatically versus H.264, so the 10 TB disk keeps footage for weeks longer or covers more high-resolution cameras.
Does it support face detection?
Yes, through the cameras: up to 4 channels of camera-side face detection, SIP and UMD feed Face Snapshot Search and Behavior Search on the recorder. General alarms also cover motion detection, human body detection, tampering, audio detection and video loss.
Is it compact enough for a small shop counter?
Yes. The 04LS3-P4 measures 205×205×46 mm at under 0.6 kg; the 08LS3-P8 and 16LS3-P8 measure 270×205×46 mm at under 0.8 kg. Power draw is under 9W without HDD, and operating range is -10 to 55 °C — fine for counters and small equipment cabinets.
