Overview

The ZJIES6028M-HI-24GT4GX series is an unmanaged DIN-rail switch with fiber uplinks, combining 6 × 10/100Base-T copper access ports with 4 × fixed 10/100/1000Base-FX Gigabit fiber ports (SC, ST or FC connector optional, single- or dual-fiber optional) in one compact unit. It is plug-and-play with no configuration required, uses store-and-forward switching, and ships in a compact IP40 metal enclosure (45×175×143 mm) for DIN-rail or wall mounting. Powered by AC 220V (100–240V) single input or DC 24V (12–36V) / 48V (36–56V) redundant dual input with reverse-polarity and overload protection, it operates from -40 to +75°C — suited for sites that need to aggregate several near-end copper links onto a long-haul Gigabit fiber uplink.

Not a good fit if:
  • Unmanaged switch — no VLAN, RSTP/MSTP ring redundancy, or web-based management; choose a managed model for segmented or ring-topology networks.
  • No PoE output on any of the 6 copper ports — cameras, APs, or IP phones needing PoE power require an external injector or a PoE-capable switch.
  • Fiber connector type (SC/ST/FC) and distance class (multimode/single-mode) are fixed at the factory per order — they cannot be swapped in the field the way SFP modules can.

Layer 3 Combo-Uplink Switch FAQ — ZJIES6028M-HI-24GT4GX

How do the 4 combo uplink ports work?
Each of the 4 combo ports can be provisioned on site as either a 10/100/1000Base-T RJ45 copper port or a 1000Base-X SFP fiber port, selectable per port. You can commission the project on copper and migrate individual uplinks to fiber later without swapping the chassis. SFP modules are ordered separately.
What Layer 3 routing does the ZJIES6028M-HI-24GT4GX support?
Full Layer 3: static routing, RIPv1/v2 and OSPF for IPv4, IPv6 static routing, policy routing for both IPv4 and IPv6, VRRPv2 gateway redundancy, plus PIM-DM/PIM-SM and Layer 3 IGMP for routed multicast. DHCP server, relay and snooping are built in, so it can terminate routed uplinks without a separate router.
What ring redundancy is available for CCTV or industrial backbones?
Four mechanisms: proprietary ZJRing self-healing ring with recovery under 20 ms, ERPS (G.8032) Ethernet ring protection, classic STP/RSTP/MSTP spanning tree, and VRRP-based Ethernet ring protection recovering in under 200 ms. A failed fiber or copper link in the loop is bypassed fast enough that video and control traffic barely notice.
What security features protect the access ports?
Port-based 802.1X authentication, port and MAC filtering, MAC binding, ACLs, IP Source Guard (IPSG), ARP proxy and DHCP snooping. Combined with 64 VLAN groups (VID 1-4094) and broadcast storm suppression, you can lock each of the 24 Gigabit access ports to known devices and contain rogue traffic.
How is it managed and what are the table capacities?
Management is via serial CLI on the RS-232 console port (RJ45, 9600, 8, N, 1), Web, Telnet and SNMP v1/v2/v3, with LLDP, Syslog, RMON, SNTP and NTP. Capacity: 16K MAC addresses, 12 Mbit packet buffer, static LACP with 2 groups of up to 4 ports, IGMP Snooping for 256 groups, rate limiting at 64 Kbps granularity.
