24x Gigabit PoE Ports
162 Gbps Non-Blocking
2x GE Uplink + 2x GE SFP
802.3af/at
19-inch Rack-Mount

Overview

S24G02G2GFI is the flagship of the Atlas PoE line: 24 auto-sensing 802.3af/at Gigabit PoE ports, 2 Gigabit RJ45 uplinks, and 2 Gigabit SFP slots in a 19-inch rack chassis, backed by a 162 Gbps non-blocking switching fabric and a 260W total power budget. It's built to be the one rack unit that covers an entire floor or compound at full gigabit speed -- every port, camera, and AP running at full line rate at the same time, with dual fiber and dual copper uplinks for real backbone redundancy.

Is This the Right Fit?

Six real deployment scenarios matched to this model's actual datasheet specifications.

Large Multi-Floor HotelsOne 24-port gigabit rack switch per floor delivers full-gigabit performance to every 4K corridor and room camera.
Large Schools & University BuildingsDense camera and Wi-Fi 6 AP deployments across a whole building run at full gigabit without a bottleneck.
Class-A Office Towers & Business ParksA full floor of gigabit cameras, access control, and APs from one rack unit.
Large Warehouses & Distribution CentersDozens of gigabit dock and aisle cameras plus wireless infrastructure on a single non-blocking switch.
Gated Communities & Large Compound PerimetersOne switch at the security office covers gate cameras, perimeter poles, and clubhouse Wi-Fi at full gigabit.
Regional or Flagship Retail HeadquartersThe flagship 24-port model for the site with the highest camera count and highest performance expectations in a chain rollout.
Not a good fit if:
  • Not a managed switch -- no VLAN segmentation, spanning-tree, or web management interface. Choose a managed model if the project needs VLANs or loop-prevention protocols.
  • No ring-network redundancy protocol -- built for star, tree, and bus topologies, not self-healing ring recovery.
  • Requires 19-inch rack space and commercial-grade conditions -- this is a rack-mount chassis (not desktop or DIN-rail), rated -10°C to +70°C rather than industrial wide-temperature.

24-Port Gigabit PoE Switch FAQ — S24G02G2GFI

How many cameras and APs can the S24G02G2GFI run?
All 24 gigabit PoE ports at once. The 260 W budget averages just under 11 W per port while typical IP cameras draw 4–12 W; any port can supply 30 W (IEEE 802.3af/at) for PTZ cameras or access points. Automatic smart detection means non-PoE devices on any port are never damaged.
Does it really run every port at full gigabit speed at once?
Yes. The 162 Gbps non-blocking switching fabric and 120.528 Mpps forwarding rate exceed the combined line rate of all 24 gigabit PoE ports plus the four uplinks, so every camera and AP can transmit at full speed simultaneously with store-and-forward switching and an 8K MAC table underneath.
What uplink redundancy does it offer for the backbone?
Dual fiber and dual copper: 2 × 1000Base-X SFP slots plus 2 × gigabit RJ45 uplinks. Run fiber as the primary backbone and keep copper standby, or split traffic across links. Copper segments follow the standard 100 m IEEE 802.3 limit, so use the SFP fiber uplinks for longer backbone runs.
Is it safe in a rack that gets hot, and does it need fans?
No fans at all — the 19-inch 1U metal chassis (440 × 170 × 44 mm, IP30) cools passively and is rated for −10 °C to +70 °C at 5–95 % humidity. A watchdog auto-resets the switch if it locks up under heavy HD camera loads, and the built-in supply is DC 52 V 5 A on AC 176–264 V input.
What do distributors get per carton, and what is in each box?
Reference packing is 10 units per carton, carton size 522 × 248 × 97 mm, unit weight 2.6 kg. Each box contains the switch, one power cord, a manual, a certificate and a warranty card. Manufacturer MTBF is quoted at 50,000 hours — useful figures for stock planning and project bids.
Which loads should go on this switch instead of a Fast Ethernet model?
Anything that needs full line rate on every drop: dense IP camera walls feeding a recorder over the dual uplinks, Wi-Fi access points, and mixed office-plus-CCTV floors. Every one of the 24 PoE ports is 10/100/1000Base-T with auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDI-X, backed by the 162 Gbps fabric and traffic control.
